In Returning and Rest is a lyric book created in collaboration with musician Doyina, translating the songs from the album into a tactile editorial experience. I led the art direction and design from concept through completion, developing the cover, typographic system, and editorial layout.

The book includes a table of contents, preface, and spreads for 13 songs, pairing lyrics and accompanying verses with illustrations and photography created by a collaborating fine artist and photographer. The visual elements were carefully integrated throughout the layouts to support the intention and message behind the musician’s work, creating a cohesive visual narrative that carries the story of the album beyond the music.
